As the tradition holds, the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton participated in the Agricultural show. The theme of the show was “ENHANCING TECHNOLOGY IN AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY FOR FOOD SECURITY, ECONOMIC GROWTH AND NATIONAL HERITAGE”. Our departments namely: Agriculture, Chemistry, Public Health, Nursing, Medical Laboratory and Curriculum and Teaching put up a splendid display which attracted a lot of attention. The University won the 1st Best Educational stand trophy whilst our dairy cows were awarded the SUPREME CHAMPION first and second positions for milking cows, and first and second positions in the RESERVE CHAMPION dairy cows category.
The Guest of Honour who officially opened the show Mr. H. R. Khator, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries visited our stand and commended the exhibitors for the good work. On Sabbath November 7, 2015, H.E. the Deputy President, Hon. William Ruto was expected to visit the stand and also see our cows, but being the Sabbath, we had closed our stand.

Our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Philip Maiyo who was away in Nairobi for the Council meetings afterwards commended the University exhibitors for the work well done. However, on return he had the privilege of taking pictures with the winning dairy animals.
