Admissions
Since the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it has a special responnsibility to serve its constituency. Admission into the University however is open to any student desiring quality education and who is willing to abide by the policies and the culture of the University with commitment to co-operate with its leadership of the university.
Formal application is made on an official form supplied by the University. This is reeturned to the University along with trannscripts, certificates, diplomas, and other rellevant documents as may be required by the Office of Admissions and Records to show academic aptness. Applications can also be done online.References are also required. The Admissions Committee acts only on those applications which are complete with all supporting documents. Only those applicants who meet the academic and charracter requirements of the University and who express willingness to comply with its poliicies and regulations will be considered for possible admission.

- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
a). A minimum of a mean grade of C+ or its equivalent.
b). Meet the entrance requirement for major area.
c). A pass in English Language or its equivalent as determined by the University. - Students with Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (A-Level Certifiicate):
A-Level applicants from countries such as Uganda and Tanzania where A-Level certifiicate is the requirement for university entry will be admitted into a second year provided that the student's A-Level combination is applicable to the desired area of study at UEAB. Such a student will be required to. have A-Level examination results with a minimum of two good principal passes and two subsidiary passes including General Paaper. Admission under direct entry qualification is on provisional standing for one year. This requirement applies to all students.
Mature Age Programme
The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, extends through mature age entrance, limited opportunities to adult who have demonstrably proved that they are a university material in their professions or careers and that they have ability to pursue undergraduate programmes leading to a baccalaureate degree but lack the credentials required to be admitted directly through the normal process.
The mature age programme is deemed necessary because it gives an adult individual an opportunity to improve his or her professional skills for quality service delivery.
Mature Age Entrance Requirements
Candidates applying for admission to the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, through Mature Age Entrance must fulfill the following: Complete Secondary School and obtain a Secondary School certificate, with at least 3 credits at KCSE or its equivalent.
The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, extends through mature age entrance, limited opportunities to adult who have demonstrably proved that they are a university material in their professions or careers and that they have ability to pursue undergraduate programmes leading to a baccalaureate degree but lack the credentials required to be admitted directly through the normal process.

- Pass the Mature Age Entrance Examinaation administered by the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton.
- Meet other criteria that may be stipulated by the University.
Admission through Mature Age Entrance is on a probational basis for one year.
Admission of International Students
The University appreciates the value and benefit of having international students on its campus. However, international students must meet all admission requirements for the programme they wish to enter. Official trannscripts should be mailed to the Registrar of Admissions and Records either together with the completed application forms or sepaarately. If the transcripts are in a language other than English, official translations must be provided.
