Welcome to the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB) website. We are delighted that you have taken time to check us out. UEAB is a Seventh‐day Adventist institution of higher learning located in Western Kenya, 50 km from Eldoret town and 9 km off the Eldoret‐Kisumu road. UEAB is privileged to have been the first private University to be chartered by the government of the Republic of Kenya, having received the charter in March, 1991. In Kenya, and perhaps in the region, UEAB is known as a science oriented Private University in that most of the more than 40 degrees we offer are in the Sciences. We take pride in the fact that we were the first University among private and public universities to offer Nursing at degree level.
